MEET JAINE
Mamaroneck Town Supervisor

Jaine Elkind Eney is an experienced and effective leader who is focused on making town government work for us.

She has called the Town of Mamaroneck home since 1979. It’s where she raised her son and daughter—both proud graduates of the Mamaroneck public schools—and where she has dedicated much of her life to public service. Alongside her work as a local attorney specializing in real estate law, Jaine has spent decades helping strengthen the community she loves.

She got her start in local public service serving on the Board of Assessment Review, and also served as Deputy Mayor of Larchmont. Following that experience, she was elected to the Town Board in 2012, became Deputy Town Supervisor in 2017, and became Town Supervisor in 2021.

Over the years, Jaine has worked closely with many parts of town government. She has been liaison to all the Land Use Boards, Housing Authority, Human Rights Committee, Larchmont/Mamaroneck Library, and Recreation Commission—where she helped lead improvements to the Hommocks Park Ice Rink, including renovated locker rooms for female athletes and new indoor space for summer programs. She continues to serve as liaison to the Fire Department and the Chamber of Commerce.

Jaine has also played a key role on several special committees, from helping hire the Town’s new Administrator to guiding the creation of a Comprehensive Plan that sets out a vision for the future of Mamaroneck.

Jaine serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Westchester Joint Waterworks, a Commissioner on the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Joint Garbage Disposal Commission, and a member of the Executive Committee of United Westchester—a coalition of municipal, county, and state officials focused on improving the reliability of utilities after major storms. As co-chair of its Con Edison subcommittee, she testified before the State Public Service Commission on behalf of the Town.

A graduate of Wellesley College (where she was recognized as a Wellesley Scholar) and Fordham University School of Law, where she earned her J.D. cum laude, Jaine brings both legal expertise and deep local knowledge to her role as Supervisor. Above all, she is proud to continue serving the community that has been her family’s home for more than four decades.
